Anyone got a Dell 1505 Wireless card working in "n" mode at the correct speed and transfer rate, reliably?

I have one in my Vostro 1400, and just bought a Netgear WN802T "Next" access point. Updated the firmware to the latest. In trying some large file transfers (500MB), and pinging the source PC at the same time, I'm noticing a lot of dropped packets and even complete loss of wireless connection during transfers. I have the WN802T connected to a Gigabit switch, as is the source PC that has the files I am copying.

Has anyone had any luck with other brands, or are there some settings in the 1505 adapter that I can tweak (there are lots of options, but no help on what the settings do)?

    Advice wanted! Thanks.
