Hi guys, when I went to configure a 1420, I stumbled across 2 screen options:
1.14.1" Widescreen WXGA (1280X800) Display.
2.14.1" Widescreen WXGA (1280X800) Display with TrueLife.
The point is, there is no extra charge for the latter..
So, is there somr=ething wrong with that TrueLife thing?
Or am I just raising a false alarm on Dell's generosity?

It's glossier and some consumers don't like that. Depending on where you're working, the glare can be horrible. That's why they allow you to choose matte screen at no extra charge.

The Truelife screen is Glossy, allowing for more vibrant colors however it is relective with medium to heavy light. The non-Truelife screen is matte with an anti-glare coating, however has a slight washed out look to it and has a smaller viewing angle. The Truelife/Glossy screen is the most popular, but it's all up to personal choice
