    Dell 1397 wireless-G only transferring at 2.3MB/sec, shoudln't it be higher?

    Wireless-G is capable of 54Mbps, so shouldn't it be transferring at about ~6MB/sec (divide by 8 to convert Mb to MB right?)

    This is transferring from my network, the other computer is connected by ethernet.

    In a perfect world, assuming no latency, lost packets, or interference of any sort, then yes.
