This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I didn't search this out, hopefully no one has asked this yet...

    Anyway, for the last 24 hours my wireless connection has been horrible--runnin at dial-up speeds if running at all.

    Long story short, I just noticed that I was in power saver mode, switched to balanced/ high performance and the card/connection is back to normal now.

    Is this to be expected when in power saver mode?

    It was running fine until last evening, so I must have switched to powersaver in error...
