I'm ready to install vista on my e1405, but I want to know if my wireless card is going to work? There are no vista drivers for it on dell's site, but there is for basically everything else. has anyone tried it out?
while i'm at it. does the SD card reader work?

I have no intentions of upgrading to Vista until there are drivers for my dell wireless card as well. Kind of an important driver to have you know?
EDIT: Just got this from Dell
01/29/2007 03:43:34PM James: "I would like to upgrade to Vista 32bit but there is no Vista driver for my Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini-card listed on Dell's website"
01/29/2007 03:44:09PM Agent (RTS J Jones): "All of the drivers for Vista is not on our website or is not compatible with the system."
01/29/2007 03:45:04PM James: "so Dell's own wireless 1390 mini card is not Vista compatible?"
01/29/2007 03:45:46PM Agent (RTS J Jones): "That or either the driver isn't on our website yet."
Nice waste of time.... -
Dell is offering the 1390 with their new laptops loaded with Vista, so the driver must exist.

I would be willing to bet the driver is built into vista.

Someone posted a link in a post I made about this issue where Dell says to use the XP driver for the 1390 card in Vista 32bit. I also read elsewhere were someone upgraded to Vista and used the default driver and it worked fine. In that same thread someone else said he was having issues with the Vista default driver for the 1390. Really wish Dell would just post something about it. Half tempted to just get the Intel card.
