So I've had this 1330 for a while and all of a sudden I'm getting an error on startup "sprtcmd.exe - corrupt file". It also says the Dell Webcam Manager folder is corrupt and unreadable, and after checking I cannot open the folder.

However, everything with the webcam appears to work just fine, and this computer has no other errors or problems.

In startup there appear to be two Startup items both called "Supportsoft sprtcmd". What are these and is it safe to disable them?

Has anybody run into this? Is there a way to delete the folder or corrupt file (it won't let me delete it). Or is there a way to disable the error messages?

    Much Thanks.

    I'm assuming you're running Vista.

That file is tied to whatever Dell Support software that comes preloaded on new Dells. I'd say just do a clean install to start fresh and not have to deal with the preloaded crap.
