Who order one?
Did you already get it?
(it had free next day shipping)
I order mine on Tuesday and they "shipped" yesterday...
FedEx say they don't have it because when they went to pick it up, the system was not there...
Dell, as always, dont have any idea where it is...and since the call center in far away from here, they cant call the warehouse to ask if the system left the building or not!

Have some patience man, it's a brand new system! Some people wait for 3-4 weeks to get theirs, and you wanted it in 3 days??? Wow!
-
i could have wait a week or more if needed, BUT:
1. The a dell PR guy wrote on his blog that the system was shipping in 1 or 2 days after the order...i'm fine if the order would have shipped 1 week after...as long as it was not set to SHIPPED!...
2. if dell put the system as SHIPPED, i would expect the package to be SHIPPED on a time according to what they offered...they offered next day, but now i got two days!
and i would be perfectly fine with 2 days...just don't make promises that you cant keep!
Whats bugs me is that I called them and they have no idea why it haven't left, and fedex have no idea why it wasn't picked up...
the system is on his way now...they picked up the package late last night and now its on the delivery truck...should be here by noon...
will post pic if anyone is interested...

Well so far not real impressed. The screen looks soft and fuzzy.
Machine blue screened twice so far just starting up on Dell loaded software (the dock maybe?) -
I like the design...
I boot up with a w7 RC1 stick...
I not even try to use vista on this thing...not worth the effort...
here pics...

We dont have the luxury of putting W7 on prior to official release.
So as an update. turns out it was a bad OS load from Dell and restoring from CD's works much better.
Still optimizing and configuring, but the screen is now nice and sharp. Windows rates it as 3.2 with the processor being the slowest score.
Boots pretty quickly and HDMI seems to work out of the box. The keyboard has a decent feel to it. I dont care for the combined trackpad/ button configuration but I don't like it on the mini 10 either.
It is nice and thin and the weight seems decent. Can't take pictures at the moment, possibly later in the day. -
Any comment on the actual battery life? They say 3 hours but I am not one to use my computer with 20% screen brightness and low power...thats probably how they get their battery life estimate. I want the screen bright and full power.

I thought it would use the same power adapter as the Mini 9,10, and 12. -
will do some test during the weekend and will post results later...
yes that's the power adapter...
i just saw the adapter of the other mini...
i want that!!! -
i guess this is a processor thing...
the 9,10, 12 uses a 30W PS
the 11 uses a 65W...
:-O -

yes the adapter is the big one they use with the full size laptops and not the nice small one that comes with the mini.
Other observations. Playback of 720P video is perfect on screen or over HDMI. No dropped frames or hiccups. Dont have any 1080 p to try at the moment.
The fan runs a lot and has a fairly high pitched whine. That being said even when the fan was running, the unit was not unduly warm.
The USB ports seem to be picky. A couple of the hard drives we had would only run at USB1 speeds.
Been installing software and running on battery since initial charge. Got right at 3 hours 15 minutes before it shutdown due to low power
