make sure you buy two sticks at the same time, it is important they match exactly for dual channel to work.

    On Ordered:

    15.4" WSXGA+
1 GB RAM (pc2-4200 533mhz from crucial, hope it works)
    64MB ATI X300
    60GB 7,200 RPM
    CDRW/DVD
    Bluetooth

You are quite welcome. Simply as a precautionary measure, I would remove the battery prior to installing your new memory, if so desired. [ ;)]

    THanks for the advice!

In the meanwhile I found the following:

    http://www.ec.kingston.com/shop/partsinfo.asp?ktcpartno=KTD-INSP6000A/512

    Is this the same like

    http://www.ec.kingston.com/shop/PartsInfo.asp?ktcpartno=KVR533D2S4/512

only with a DELL sticker on it (a $ 20 sticker...)?
