Okay, I got this disc, (waiting on it to arrive) on ebay.

I have 700m running XP Home, I plan to install this on a second partition. The product key is not included, will I be able to install Vista home with this disc, or have I just wasted my money ($5.98), (by the way, there is one left).
I think it might work, since a XP reinstallation disc will run and install with no product key. (I have done this with Dells and Gateways repairs & hd installations) But with Vista being a new OS, it might be a different installation.
Opinions???

Actually, it is illegal to sell this...it is an OEM copy that was technically permanently tied to the machine it was purchased for and that seller just committed copyright infringement by selling it to you.
No product key?...that is really bad, as legally you should have one (even if that copy installs with the MS VLA key...if you ever need to contact MS they ask for the key on the sticker you didn't get).
The XP & Vista copies that install without a key are VLA OEM discs and are ILLEGAL to sell or copy to a different machine.
