Any status on the Dell "lexus" line of notebooks would be appreciated.

There isn't any status yet. Dell will be updating the Insprion XPS to include the new Nvidia GeForce Go 7800 graphics card. Other than that, I think that is all the Dell update news.

actually it appears the laptops dubbed M170xps and m140 xps are the lexus line, the xps m170 will have the 7800gtx card, not sure about the m140.
Expect higher prices for these "lexus" systems

I'm suspecting that too. If you look at the additions to the desktop line, you'll see that there are MC non-gaming systems being branded as XPS. I smell something fishy going on here...

disappointing that so little information is available from Dell. When I heard the original statements about the "lexus" line, I held hope that Dell would adopt more of the Samsung models--sleek, slim and stylish, liked they did with the X1.

It's been confirmed now in PC Magazine that the XPS is the Lexus lineup. Notice how XPS is no longer paired up with "Inspiron" or "Dimension." Makes sense now.
