    How often does dell offer these coupons. I mean I heard someone say they go as far as $500 and $750 off for selected systems. The $300 coupon expires on Jul. 26th, and it's pressuring me a bit. Should I wait for a better deal or should I just go with this one. I need a laptop by the end of august, any chance they might squeeze in another deal that is even better. What do you guys think?

    What they don't tell you about these coupons is that there is often a cap on the number of people who use them, such as 4,000. I got screwed out of the last $500 coupon this way, and immediately jumped on the $350 coupon that appeared soon after. Do not count on using the coupon near the expiration date.

    i think it is a good deal with the $300 off right now because of the free 2gb ram and 160gb harddrive upgrades

    2gb=$150
    160gb=$125
    coupon=$300

    total=$575

    Right, but that doesn't mean it will work when you intend to use it. The $500 coupon was sometime last month.

    If you go to a dell kiosk, and ask them if there is any advantage to buying from them rather than at home online with your $300 coupon, they will quite possibly pull out another $100-$150 coupon. They need a reason for you to buy from them. They are motivated.

    I did this, and got an additional $150 coupon on top of my $350 coupon, from the dell kiosk guy in the Westfield Mall in San Jose, Ca. (On July 7th)

    I think they guy's name was Ronan or Roman. Nice kid. When I get my system, Im going back to him to ask about the remote. (he told me it came with the system - dell has told me otherwise, since)
