Delivery Prep?!!!!

Well what do you know! Prasie the Lord, it's a miracle!!!! After seeing with my own eyes that there is a long delay on the processor, my notebook is in delivery prep! I got an e-mail saying it just went started getting built and that it should ship in 1-2 days. However, in my account, it says it's in delivery prep as of about 2 AM this morning. On the normal order status page, it still says "in production" but i found there's usually a 2-day delay on the status changes there.

This is greatttttttttttttttt!

This means there is hope for all of you too!! Good luck! Keep waiting! It will come!!!! Don't lose hope!

It looks like my notebook will be delivered before my router...

 

So what gave you the "Delivery Prep", was it dell or your carrier, the 800 number, website, or a Dell rep? Just curious, "Delivery Prep" is not something they (meaning Dell) gave me as a status update, unless I just didn't catch the updates at the right time.

 

The e-mail told me the notebook is now being built, that it has all the parts required and everything.

On my "Order Status" page of "My Account", the order status is listed as "Delivery Preparation". Under ship date, it says "16/08/2007 2:47:39 AM".

I'm not entirely sure where my notebook is, seeing as I'm being told three different things. A funny little fact is that the e-mail I got from my Dell CSR was sent after 2:47 AM. However, all this tells me is one very important thing. My notebook is being worked on and is moving. It is no longer just sitting on the side waiting for parts. And that is very good news to me!

ordered mine on the 16th..and now my vostro 1700 says its in delivery prep but the status tracker says its in production like you atr...hopefully status changes for the better tm!

dammit so do they ship on...sundays? on my account page it says ship date of the 19th..but then when i go into that stupid tracking page it says september 3rd..

i know its a long shot..but cmonnn delll >_<

In case you haven't heard it somewhere else on the forum, my Inspiron 1520 will be arriving any minute now!!

 

Order Status is only updated di\aily for the most part. If your in delivery prep it will be out in a day or so...

Did you order on July or August 16th? If August, that was a quick build.

Furthermore, did you get a tracking #? If so, where is you 1520 right now?

 

I ordered it August 16th at like 2am. It says on the Order number site that it shipped the 18th. I got my tracking number from Purolator, but so far I can't track it online.

It was a Vostro 1500 so I'm assuming those are moving faster then the 1520.
