I'm sure it will be too, which is lucky because I'm off work that day.

I did the same, but in fairness to them my laptop was delivered exactly when the said it would be & in perfect condition so absolutely no complaints from me.

1 hour and 45 minutes to go until the end of the delivery slot that they've allocated to me and so far no sign of a laptop.

I've been sat waiting since 07:00 for their 08:00 - 12:00 delivery slot. I'm baby sitting my baby son, so I have a lot to keep my occupied, so we'll see if they keep to their promise :)

    11:20 hours, parcel signed for.

It has arrived :D Not bad, 40 minutes to spare.

It came with UKMail which appears to be yet another courier that WW contract to on behalf of Dell. Once it hits the UK they seem to hand it over to a local courier company that covers your part of the country.

First impressions of the laptop are good.

The sound isn't as good as my old Inspiron 6400 that it replaces and the keyboard is taking some adapting to, but it's still looking to be a decent laptop.

Hi i guess i'm just a new addition to an old thread, but I too am an expecting dell customer that checks his order status every morning and evening xD

I ordered mine 16/06/09, it stated my estimated deliver was 07/07/09
    It entered pre-production 17/06/09
    It was in production 21/06/09
And now today, this morning it entered Delivery 27/06/09

To be honest I'm not happy with Dell, i rang them up and they never reveal how long on average the different phases take.. just give you an "up to" which is incredibly long and inaccurate. Maybe I'm just being impatient but their lack of giving me a true date i think has brought this upon me.

Just wondering, today it entered delivery (Saturday) soo will it take longer for me than other people because of it being sunday tomorrow and not a working day?

Another awaiting Dell Customer who checks her order every morning and every night.. and also about 10 times throughout the day! Dont know about delivery but would appreciated it if you let us know when it arrives with you.

I ordered my Studio 15 on Sun 21/06/09.
We had the same Estimated Delivery Date..07/07/09 How strange since you ordered yours nearly a week before I ordered mine!

When I woke this morning it was in Phase 5 DELIVERY! FINALLY!!! WAHOO!

You are right Dell Customer Service isnt very good they wont give out any information... for a fear of complaints I suppose.. Even though if you want to complain you cant because apparently there is no one in charge in the entire of the lovely Indian Call centre... I was told by 3 people on 3 different occasions that i couldnt speak to a manager because they werent in or there wasnt one!!! HAHA! Well hope it arrives soon and it was well worth the wait!!!

I read somewhere that dell basically waits until there have been enough products ordered so that they can send them out all at once, making delivery cheaper for them. That would explain the similar estimated delivery date. I'm still waiting for it. And want my tracking number so i can get more detailed information :(
I also read somewhere they purposely take longer to send the laptop off because they can earn higher interest on the payment before it's sent to us...
The fact is though Dell sells great products, but the people selling them aren't that good...
I reckon ours will come at the same time. :)
    P.S MINE IS ALSO A STUDIO 15! :) :) :)

Just a quick update... I've been on to dell today on the phone(08709060010) to try and get my tracking number. i got put through to the same guy twice and he was very rude and kept telling me "there is no way to track an order" when dell's website says differently.. so i kept saying that to him and he rudely said to me "ok well you can go and deal with that then" and just remained silent... and wouldn't talk to me anymore... he hadn't hanged up though. RUDE PEOPLE. anyway i did manage to get the name of the courier out of him. "syncreon" which is walsh western but they changed their name.

So i rang them up(08719873355) and they told me that they hadn't received it yet and dell haven't sent it yet otherwise they would have it... but they said the delay could be due to it being sent from china or poland :S they seemed very nice and efficient and told me they'll ring me the minute they get it so i'm happy. :) and then once they have it, it only takes a day :p

Guys, please realise that Walsh Western are purely a tracking firm, they DON'T do the deliveries, its a specific courier, (I've always had UKBIZMAIL but i've heard of people with DHL and others)

Man i'm gonna look like a prat if i'm wrong, but I'm 90% sure im right :)

To track on walsh western, do the following:

Cust No. = 02XXXXXXX (i.e. knock off GB and replace it with 02)
Order No. = 0XXXXXXXX (i.e. put a 0 before the order number Dell gave you)

    Hey everyone.

    Here is my situation.
Precision M6400 Shipped last friday 17/7.
    Estimated date of arrival 4/8.
I already have the tracking number from DHL that i've asked to my dell rep.
The number doesn't show at the DHL page for now.

Is this normal? I mean if it was delivered to DHL on Friday shouldn't it be on the system by now?
Or the estimated time of arrival is correct and i will have to wait two weeks to get it from Limerick?

    Thanks
