Delivery - Phase 5

Hi,

New here and new to Dell

Ordered my 1545 last Thursday, It got to Phase 5 on Tuesday (Shipped to Courier) I have 2 Links to "Walsh Western" on my Order Status page which show nothing, Its a blank page. It also says I'll receive a Phone Call within 24 hours after being shipped (Not received a Phone Call)

So my Questions are,

What happens now? Its been 2 days and I've heard nothing
What is Walsh Western Courier? Never heard of them before.
When will my Tracking come available?
When should I expect to receive?

mine has been in "in-production stage for 3.5 days and its really annoying me

Mine went in Production straight after payment Thursday night and stayed there untill Tuesday morning (4 days including the weekend)

Hello lads
i got an xps t8300 2.4ghz yesterday and i just check the process and its up to phase 4 already does this mean it will stick at phase 4 for ages or is it really going to be that quick?? i changed the processer and the windows to 64.

 

I changed the processor & memory... Hoping I get tracking today!

 

Phoned Dell. Got told I will receive contact from the courier on the 4th Business day after being shipped and it will be delivered on the 5th day.

I got a phone call straight after on my 4th day and it will be delivered Monday (5th day) So all good. When yours goes to Phase 5, you will have it on the 5th Business day

 

mine is still stuck in production
and u probally will have to wait

 

does anybody know what the assemble satge actually is and how long it should last ? for dell uk ??

 

Got my tracking today as well, Its come from China Its in UK now and hopefully at my depot tonight, gonna go pick it up tomorrow if it is

mine is still stuck in production if it is still there monday i willphone dell and complain as it took 5.5 days so far

My 1530 just switched to Testing tonight.

How long does testing usually take and what's the next phase?

Mine has been in the Testing stage for almost a day now! I'm calling Dell to see what's up.

If your date is 21st (4 days away) I'd phone dell up because it dont look like your gettin it before that date...

Laptops decent, cant find any probs with it so far

 

Sounds promising, mine been sent from Dell today. So in ‘theory’ I should get it Tuesday / Wednesday next week.

My original delivery date estimate from Dell was Friday next week, but I’m actually away on Friday so if it comes before then that would be great!

Oh and for the guy asking about Pacific Blue, that's what I ordered.

My order held in pre-production for a day or two and has been in production and the other steps for about a week (not sure how that compared to the norm)

 

mine was in stage 5 today
so i should get it soon and yes mabye that was the problem

 

when you click on the link does it come up with a blank page because mine does is this normal

 

Now you need to wait for a Automated call from Dell (Should be 4th working day after being shipped) It will tell you the date it will arrive and if your ok with it, press number 1. Press 2 to change the date

 

when u looked at the walsh western website tracking was it blank at first???

Yeah that's what I'm getting too. Like Tommy say's we need to wait a few more days...

When I phoned they're Walsh Western's customer services this morning (before I checked on here what each stage actually meant) they said they had no record of my order number & to contact Dell. They're customer services then explained that the "Order has been shipped" comment refers to Dell shipping to the delivery company. So in reality wait a few more days for them to receive it, process it, and deliver.

A bit confusing to be honest, I'd imagine they must get people confused phoning them up all the time.

 

My m1530 finally shipped! I should get it Friday.

 

Walsh western will be blank, the Parcel has been shipped from dell to them, when you get the phone call, It means the courier has received it, then It will show tracking

My order got shipped on Tuesday, received call on Friday, delivered on Saturday. Expect a call on Saturday/Monday...

What's your 1st impressions of your laptop?

Just had my phone call from Welsh Western, delivery on Tuesday next week Got excited (how sad is that) that it might be delivery tomorrow, but nevermind, its only a bloody laptop!

So ordered it on the 10th, due on th 24th, so overall a two week turnaround from ordering to deliery. Assuming it arrives on time & I haven't just jinxed it

It's meant to be being delivered tomorrow, I'd have throught I'd be seeing something about may package moving around the UK by now...

Every time I've ordered from Dell this is the one thing I don't like. It seems to take an age for them to arrive, even though it's only normally around 10 days!

My latest order is currently at stage 4, Delivery Preparation, which it went to this morning having been on stage 3 for 2 days.

I'm one of those saddos too that counts down until his new toy arrives so I am looking forward to it.

My previous experience with Dell's chosen couriers has been good on the whole. On one occasion when I missed them I went to their depot that night, about 10 mile drive to what seemed to be a hidden base in the middle of nowhere, and collected it myself with ID.

Here's hoping stage 5 comes quickly and even more so that it arrives with me asap

This thread just prompted me to check my order status and it seems I was only in stage 4 for 1 day! I am now on stage 5, Delivery!!

Just seen that my courier details are there and it's already trackable. My laptop left the Dell factory at 22:00 hours! It's on it's way

Anyone want to hazard a guess on when it will reach the UK or more importantly, to my house?

(this is the fastest I've known Dell be in all the times I've ordered from them and I've very impressed).

Mine arrived yesterday morning bang on... Tommy was spot on with his timings, cheers for putting up with my questions!

Gone through the Vista Tips thread on here and cleaned away some of the Dell pre-installed programs I know I’ll never use. Runs very quickly, and overall very impressed with what you can get for £400 nowadays! Had a little panic when the DVD drive didn’t seem to be working, but I think it was just because it was a LOVEfILM DVD and it has some strange sticker covering the middle of the disc as other DVD’s seems to work fine.

 

Mine's coming Friday between 08:00 and 13:00. They called this morning.

Here's hoping they stick to their word

I've never had a problem with Dell deliveries in the past, but google Walsh Western and see how many people are complaining about them delivering Dell kit.

Hopefully they are all just unlucky cases and I'll continue to experience no problems with delivery on this occasion
