Well, my order has just been delayed from shipping today to now maybe the 28th. Not sure if it might be because of the lid color (brown)? This really sucks!!!!!
I ordered it on July 19th.. this is horrible. I'm actually considering dropping the extra cash for a Macbook Pro now.

I'd wait another week before cancelling though. I probably will be in the same situation as of tomorrow. hopefully once they get some more screens in...
-
Code...
Macs are not worth the extra money. Really, they are worth half of the Inspiron is. Why? Because they will only work half of the time.
teckcrew,
They will probably get more screens, but they will probably be black. -
Great... I know mine will be delayed then, its suppose to ship tomorrow but it's been in the build stage since july 13th. This is really pissing me off, they should not have released the new Insprions if they weren't prepared to fulfill the orders in a timely fashion.

ordered on the 19th delayed to the 28th of aug. by then if they decided to delay it again i'll cancer the MOFO order. -
I think it's because Dell doesn't keep stock and the damn supplier can't keep up with the demand. I'm wondering if the black lid would ship sooner. This is ridiculous.

Guess I'm not alone in this.
Order date: 7/5/07
Original ship date: 7/23/07
Next: 7/30/07
Next: 8/6/07
Now: 8/28/07
This is ridiculous. -
You are definetly not alone....See sig

ordered 7/6 delayed twice to 8/28

Guy said he'll call on the 9th (doubt there'll be good news). I plan on asking if I it will ship faster if I change the lid to black.
-
Well.. no one called yesterday. Great.
-
Same happened to me. I was supposed to receive a call when the system was built and when it was shipped but I got nothing. Lucky for me, dell at least made their own deadline.
-
Is it a pretty sure thing that I will get it shipped faster if I change the lid color to black? Right now I have the brown lid and the "estimated" shipping date is the 28th
