Delayed AGAIN

So can I safely assume that since my computer has been in the build stage of production for this long with the second est. ship date being next week and it's not even in the box stage yet that it will be pushed back yet again??

I feel your pain. My Asus C90s processed for 25 days, shipped for 4 to a US address, and is now on day 5 shipping to Canada. I just went to the post office, and they said not to expect it before Monday for a grand total of 11 days (9 business days) to ship from California to B.C. Good thing I used Express International shipping so it could get here in 3-5 days

 

They really need to start figuring something out over at Dell. Even if they stopped taking orders for one week to clear up the backlog and maybe have some people work overtime... This is crazy!

 

this is one of the busiest times of year for notebooks people, it stinks that hardware goes obsolete or I would recommend ordering 4 months ago.....as for that express shipping you should call up and complain asking to speek to a manager, maybe they can throw in something free, you never know

 

Hey, you never know...mine entered the boxing stage exactly four days before the ESD, and it's arriving one day before it was supposed to ship (today, that is )...

There's hope yet!

 

I feel your pain. Mine too is in the build stage with an 08/28 ship date. I see other orders being filled before ours so I am not sure what Dell is doing. I guess they figure why make the newer customers upset since the ones who have been waiting longer already are? Oh well. I tried pricing a HP the other day and I couldn't do it since I had gotten the Dell at such a good price. It really is a waiting game.....

 

I had an estimated ship date of 8/15 that was bumped to 8/28 on two 1521's.
One ruby red and one yellow. The yellow arrived today and the red is in boxing. So things are starting to move along. You might get yours soon!!

 

i HOPE so! i might not be so mad if i had been alerted to the production problems when i ordered it! this to me, seems like a very shady thing to do for a company as well respected as dell....used to be.

 

I'm afraid that come Aug 28 a lot of people are going to get another delay notice. I hope not but the way Dell has been doing business I almost expect it

I really do want to have a positive attitude about this Dell thing but when all you get when you call the order status lady is "it's in the build stage" it gets pretty frustrating. I want to hear "testing" "boxing" "shipping" then I'll be happy

Yeah, I've been waiting forever it seems like. I keep thinking that they'll get the stuff in, and mine will come next week. Doubtful. The worst is I was waiting around and decided that I wanted to change my screen. That made me cancel and reorder. It just seems strange that for a laptop that they haven't started to build and are waiting on the case that they couldn't swap out the screen.

 

yeah, but at least they finally start building for the people who order early and mid july

 

i ordered mines on 7/19 and now is 8/28 esd soooo... yours might get delayed again.

 

You would think this would be the case. I thought that once the black lid wasn't delayed anymore, mine would go straight through production... well, now the motherboard is on delay and it doesn't seem to me like they pulled one aside, meaning they probably have nothing set aside for my computer until they have all the parts, which is really frustrating! Hopefully this isn't the case for you!
