Just informed by Dell today that there is a 11 day delay because of backorder for my i9300!! Does that sound crazy to anyone else or is this normal?? This is my first time ordering from Dell so I don't know, but that seems stupid to me, 11 days plus the 2 weeks it takes to make and send it!! Sheesh, thinking of just cancelling altogether and not bothering with Dell, especially since I heard they no longer send you your driver or windows CD!!! Are they just getting worse and worse or what?

Of all the things I've lost in life, I miss my mind the most!!

I ordered mine on 3-29 and it says it's in testing and expected to ship by 4-13.

There is another post that says he ordered on 3-28 and he got it delivered today.

What's the average turn-a-round time been for everyone else?

Mine shipped when they said it would some people have shipped two days after they ordered from what they say. I think it is just luck. They said my TV tuner wouldn't ship until they 1st but I got it before then. If you do not cancel when you get it it will probably have a few dings on it. I really don't understand why they make the Inspiron name on the back of the LCD look used. Who wants a new laptop that looks used.

ordered mine on 3/30 and it arrived on 4/6 thats eight days ahead of ship date.

what did you add to yours to make it take so long? I opted to not wait for the 7200rpm HD
cause it would delay my order so i got the 60Gb 5400 instead and plan to swap it out down the road.

about the OS and driver cd's if you call them they will send them to you abit of a pain but hey at least they are coming.

Yeah, I wrote Dell and with little trouble got them to send me out the Driver and apps CD's. As for the delay, not sure why, I didn't order anything special, so I have no idea why it's so long a wait, but hey, maybe they'll suprise me and I'll get is sooner rather than later, who knows..

I ordered my Dell 9300 on March 31st with an estimated shipping date of April 15th. On April 4th I checked my order status and found my order had been cancelled. I tried to call customer care but couldn't get through. I recheched my order status and found my order was reinstated and the estimated shipping date had been moved up to April 13th, I was pleased. On April 6th I checked my order status and found my order cancelled again. I tried calling customer care for two days and couldn't get through, my order was still classified as cancelled. This morning, April 8th I finally got through to Dell and the helpful Dell representative told my my order had been cancelled because I had not responded to the order varification request. But I had responded and was assured be Dell that my order was being processed. So now I've had to reorder and my estimated shipping date is now April 25th. The Dell representative assured me that April 25th was a "worse case scenerio", just as April 15th was the original "worse case scenerio". I suppose one of the reasons Dell is so busy is because the have to spend so much time rectifying their errors. I hope they build my computer better than they process orders. I may yet cancel my order just so I don't have the aggravation of dealing with Dell.

I know things, things that could bore people to death.

Just a little tangent here, but how do you respond to your agreement plan? I thought you just didn't cancel and that meant you argeed. Am I wrong here? So I have to call and accept or something?
