I recently formatted my inspiron 1520 and did a clean install of Vista with the provided CD.

The default factory install of Vista had power plans such as DELL Recommended and whenever I switched to the power saver mode it turned off Aero. The thing is I want the same functionality again. Is there a way to load the power schemes onto my notebook again. I thought installing Dell Quickset would help but it didn't.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

When the notebook was delivered to me, it had 4 power plans on it. The plan selected by default was Dell Recommended. Whenever I switched to the Power Saver mode back then it turned off Aero.

Basically the thing that I'm asking is that is there any way to get those power plans on Vista back after a reinstall?

I think what you want is the Dell Quickset Utility.
You can get it here on the Dell download page
    Look under Applications

    Dell - Application
    Applies to:
    QuickSet
