Does anyone know if the soon-to-be-released Inspiron 640m (e1405) will feature a dedicated GPU or will it come with integrated graphics, considering it's predecessor (630m) had integrated.

As with most Dell computers it will most likely come with integrated graphics. The smaller notebooks usually don't get a high-end graphics, but we will need to wait and see. I haven't heard anything to this point.

The Latitude D620, also a 14.1" widescreen notebook will be released with a dedicated GPU, I believe a Quadro type card along with integrated graphics. It is possible that Dell might do the same for the 14.1" widescreen Inspiron notebook eventually considering the high demand for such a notebook.

I thought the 630m had dedicated graphics, but I was wrong. I really thought that the XPS series would have dedicated graphics since it is a gaming machine. Seems kind of strange that it doesn't  I would like to think that dell will put a dedicated graphics card in the 640m, but like USAF said, time will tell.

I think the 630m especially the XPS M140 is being advertised as a multimedia machine & not actually a gaming machine so that's why it has integrated graphics....
