    I have now spoke with Kashmir Rashneesh for the 40th time. I am no closer to understanding why my laptops have been in production for over 11 days now. I ordered these on EPP and I am wondering if this was my mistake. I get the feeling that those with deeper discounts are getting deeper ship dates.

    If someone has an inside source at Dell can they please explain WTH is going on? I ordered in the beginning of July and have a ship date of the 19th and 20th with overnight shipping. I haven't had one update since the day it was ordered and I bet money I get an email that says it will be delayed. Even though countless others ordered theirs and they get them 5 days later...

    Something strange is afoot at the Circle K....

    I find it odd too. I ordered my 1520 on 7/9 with a estimated shipping date of 7/23 (which it still says on website). Well it's 7/17 and still in the "build" stage according to the phone system. I have a feeling it's going to be delayed.

    What I don't get is I see people who ordered after me with the exact same configuration as mine, even color, and they are getting their notebook before I do. WTF is up with that?

    Ok today is July 17th, Dell estimated it would ship on the 19th or 20th... I completely fail to see the problem here, other than you have a problem with information Dell plainly presented to you after you made the purchase. If you keep calling in, basically you are just holding up the phone queues for people with real problems.

    Also unless the orders are EXACTLY the same, sku for sku down the entire invoice, and ordered through the same division, and the payment was authorized in the same ammount of time, its very hard to say "So and so got the same thing but gets theirs first!"

    Lots of posts say that their dells are being pushed back... What I am trying to say is that I wonder if ordering through Dell EPP is a mistake if you want your laptop quickly... Also others are ordering and getting them shipped 3 days later. Nobody can give me a straight story if parts are backlogged and if so what is backlogged and do we need to change it to get the laptops in a timely manner. Don't you find it strange that some people ordered 4 or 5 days ago and magically they are in shipping status right now? These folks also originally say they had a middle august ship date and whamo... they are in shipping status... Communication is all that is needed from Dell. That is all...

    EPP status doesn't matter. People like myself who got in on the big coupon mistake last week already have theirs - I do not.

    Just for the record, you keep mentioning Dell EPP. Dell EPP doesn't have a separate manufacturing arm from Dell DHS. A Dell order is a Dell order according to the factories. You will want to call your sales rep, inquire about it, they will look into it. Also ask your rep about getting priority build next day ;)

    me too scoots. I ordered my 1720 the day they launched on the 26th, and it still says pre-production... sucks rocks

    Guys u really shouldn't complain! I've ordered mine on the 6th of July and the estimated shipping date is 6th of August! How do u like that?

    I donno what your issue is.. My 1420 was ordered on 7/7/07 and It was in my house on 7/16/07 with 3-5 Day ground..

    The estimated shipping date was 7/24/07...
