I've had my Dell Studio 15 laptop for almost 2 weeks and I just noticed a dead pixel on the screen, at least I believe it is. It is one tiny red pixel that doesn't change.

Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know what I can do to fix it? Also, how is Dell support? Is this something they would fix?

I'm knew to Dell laptops and any help would be great.
    Thank you!

Dead subpixel that would be.. Don't think dell would do anything about it :(
Perhaps you can try undeadpixel. Might work, worth the try though :)

If you have a stuck pixel there are some programs out there that repeatedly flash colors to free them up - sometimes it works.

I don't believe most manufacturers will replace with only one or two stuck pixels. I know of a few people that had the problems on thinkpads and it was like 10 or something before new monitor.

A dead pixel is supposed to be black because no light can pass through it; hence, the word dead. You have a stuck pixel. Either you could download a program to fix a stuck pixel or you could massage it very very and I mean very gently, you don't want to add more. Visit this site for more info http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-a-Stuck-Pixel-on-an-LCD-Monitor. I know that there's a certain number of dead pixels before you can have an lcd monitor replaced, I'm not sure how it works with notebooks, but fortunately for you, it's been only 2 weeks so If you can't fix it, you could still return it if they don't want to replace it.
