    Hi All,

    I'm posting after many years.
Anyhow, Yesterday I received my new Inspiron 13, 7000 series 2 in 1 with a 1080p screen. Right on the fist Windows screen I noticed that the screen brightness is lower near edges. Similar to the inverse effect of normal light leak. Image attached.

I also have an Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1 which doesn't have this problem. Also colors of the new 13 looks washed out and warmer compared to the 11. I managed to somewhat correct colors by installing Intel graphics drivers and changing color settings, but they are still not vibrant as the 11.

    According to HWiNFO64 the panel is a Samsung SDC4C48 (133HL [DELL P/N: 9T7WM]), where as 11 has a LG Philips LGD0000 (116WH6 [DELL P/N: F5KCX]).

DELL warranty and support lines are closed over here in Australia since its the weekend, so I'll have to wait till Monday to get a response from them. In the meantime I'm thinking of returning this back. But before that I'd like to know if any of you have experienced the same issue with 13, 7000 screens ? Is this something normal with these notebooks, in which case a replacement is not going to do much good, or something that may go away after few days ?

3 days and no replies.... o_O This forum has certainly become quieter since I was last here. Anyway, asked for a replacement. Will see how it goes.

Hi guys, writing from Thailand here, I've also acquired the 7348 a couple weeks ago and noticed the dark edges pretty much immediately. I searched around and found this thread so I joined the forum to confirm that my machine also has this issue. I thought mine was defective :) I even went and have a look at the one they had on display at the Dell store, same deal. I was going to call Dell support and get them to replace my screen but now I'm not sure if that'll do much good. PhoenixFx, can you let us know how's the replacement? Is it more or less the same? Cheers!
    KC
