Up in Canada here, and I'm currently browsing the Inspiron 6400. I was wondering though if anyone has had any problems with Dell's DVD writer. I recently returned a Compaq v2000, which had the infamous Matsh!ta uj-640d DVD writer, in which I couldn't get burn speeds over 2.4x with.

So if anyone could give their thoughts on Dell's optical drive, and/or recommend the types of blank media that work well with them, that would be much appreciated :)
