    DVD/RW for dell 640m

    hi,

    pretty much rekon my dvd/rw has bitten the dust. lappy sees it as working ok but it won't read/play discs. it has a toshiba samsung ts-l532 in it. a mate has a spare panasonic uj-840 which dimensionally is the same. will this have the correct pin out connections etc to work in my inspiron 640m. just want to check before he posts it up to me.

    thanks mate. bezel is removable and from the pics he sent and the dimensions we measured it should fit so i'll ask him to post it up. let you know how i get on. cheers :)
