Hey I have a Dell Latitude D830 with the CD/DVD-RW and I have been backing up some files via dvd disc. While using Roxio, it says the target max speed of the drive is 6.0x but it is actually burning at 0.60x. Is there anyway I can change this or what do I need to do correctly to burn a little faster.

    Thanks!

    It may be the drive.
Look in Device Manager to see what model DVDRW model they gave you.

Maby try different burning software, update drivers, anything you can think of. Then call Tech support if you dont find the answer... I think its a 1-800 number too :)
