So I have a Vostro 1400, with Optiarc AD-5560A DVD+-RW burner... I tried three times to burn an ISO to a DVD+R with different software and even at the lowest speed. All three completed sucessfully, but then when I tried to verify or read them back they came up as blank discs in the same writer... and didnt even load in anything else. So... I'm thinking my burner is messed up because the bottom of the disc has many distinct rings... not smooth at all even when I lowered the speed (to 2.4x). Any ideas? And if I do get it replaced should I ask for a specific model?

EDIT: So I just burned the successfully verified the ISO to a DVD+R using a different burner on another PC, so Im pretty sure that the Optiarc is defective...
