    Hello,

Since i've seen several posts with the same problems it seems that there is a lot of problems due to DPC's on the Dell studio platforms.

In brief DPC's is the way your pc handle "real time". If the time to handle DPC is too long, there is an impact on sound or video (professional use). This is a short explanation (please refer to wiki for more information).
There is a tool that gives a nice view of DPC's problems:

If the tools gives your red peaks it means that sound/video applications (djing, vjing, recording, ...) may be compromized on your laptop.

The goal of that treat is to publish a printscreen of this tool on your laptop indicating what kind of os, and laptop config you have:

This is a typical nice printscreen indicating no DPC problems:

This is aproximatively what i seen on my studio 1537 duo core p8600, 4gb ram, with windows xp:

It will be very helpful to see if the problem is widely encountered.

Thank your for advance of your collaboration.
