I ordered 2 vostro 1700's and today at 8pm they arrived at a DHL facility thats about 20mins from where I live. Does that mean I should be expecting them tomorrow?

I'm only worried because we have issues with our neighbors and I wouldn't want them to be left on the doorstep.

If anyone could help out it would be appreciated. =]

Early in the morning, if it will be delivered that day, when you check with your tracking number, it should say something like "with delivery courier". :)

You are probably expecting the package already but to others who are as paranoid as me as to when to expect the DHL courier, just call their CS number or attempted delivery inquires and do will call.

I don't think so. DHL left my Dell package at 7-11!!!! I had to call and track it back.

I just got the 1720. I had to spend the whole day casing DHL around because the driver "attempted" a delivery in the morning, although my wife did not hear him knock on the door nor did he leave a note. I ended up leaving work early and spend an hour and a half in LA traffic driving to the DHL facility and pick up my laptop before they close. DHL sucks.

DHL is a bit difficult... guy came to my door twice last week, Wednesday he didn't leave a note (doortag) saying the date/time he'd be back and Friday I just missed him around 10am (did leave a doortag, with the wrong date written on it). being that this was my one day off I could get it, I was a little miffed.

called lady at DHL, told her the story and she said she'd let me know if it came back by 5pm and I could come pick it up (that was the highlight of the day). only problem when she called me, it didn't come back yet, so she said they'd hold it for me to pick up M-F 8:30 - 5pm. I reluctantly said OK, not thinking how in the world I'd actually be able to do that. so I wait another 3 days...

Sunday night rolls around, I realize there's no way I'm going to be able to pick it up since I work 8-6, 25 miles from their facility. my girlfriend says she has a break in her schedule that day and it's only 10 miles from her work, so I call them to let her know she'd be picking it up. only one problem (I think), I forgot to sign the doortag I gave her. turns out it wasn't a problem, they put it in their computer and a note on the box that (her name) would come get it. plus when she got there 1:30pm Monday she said they were waiting for her and there was no line. so I got lucky...so to speak. but without her to go get it, I'd honestly still be waiting.
