    DHL must you be home to Sign ??

    Ordered my 1525 on 6/13 call this morning and STILL in the Building stage, boy I could have built a car in that long :mad:
    The est. shipping date is 7/15 so far. Will someone have to be at the house to sign for it ? I maybe out of town about the time it is delivered. I guess they come DHL by what I have read. Is the tracking date when you get it from Dell accurate with DHL ? May have to have someone at the house to sign also I don't want it sitting by the door.

    Well from my experience with them was when I wasn't at home I got an message saying that my item has been delivered but no one was a home so it was retuned to my local DHL depot for pick up which was in the next town... -.-

    Well North Cyprus is a small place :D

    Do you remember if it was delievered on the date DHL tracking said it would be delievered ?

    For my XPS M1530, it actually came 2 days before the estimate resulting in the equiv of Next Day Shipping despite I was on DHL Ground Shipping.

    If someone is not home to sign for it or answer the door, they will bring it back to the DHL facility and attempt to deliver it the next day.

    I guess they leave a note for the next day attempt to deliver. Would be nice if UPS was delivering it I ALWAYS get it on the day their tracking says, and I know just about what time "Mr. Brown" will be in my area.

    They'll leave a note saying you can come pick it up or they'll deliver it the next day. If you want it on your doorstep you can leave a signed note. You can also leave a signed not telling them to drop it off next door I believe (if it happens to be someone you trust).
