i was wondering if you can go to the DHL center and pick up the package itself because the tracking number says its like 15 mins from home and im really eager to get it and do they continue to move the package closer to home untill they ship it on monday?

LOL I'm in the exact situation. My laptop is in Minneapolis, an hour away from here and they don't deliver on Saturdays unless you request (and pay) for it, not to mention that it's going to my work which is closed tomorrow.

I've heard a couple different stories about this. I've heard they HAVE to at least attempt one delivery before they will allow this. Apparently it's the same way with UPS and FedEx.

I've also heard that they will allow you the honor of driving to their place and picking up your package for a low, low price of $15. I have no clue, but you may want to give them a call. Heck, I may do the same thing tomorrow if I'm bored. :D

Let me know what you find out please!

yeah I was thinking of picking up my laptop when it was no more than 15 minutes from my house, and they told me that it would be $15. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me.

Best thing to do would be to call. However, try to contain your enthusiasm ... you waited this long, a few more days won't kill you (probably :D).

I just called DHL and they said that since this is a Dell shipment, they are required to make at least one attempt to deliver the package. I guess I didn't try much harder than just asking what their policy was, but that is what I was told.

At least it should be a happy Monday!
