I got my tracking number from Dell yesterday and when I enter it into DHL tracking it says that the number cannot be found. I have contacted Dell and they assured me that that was the right number. I also contacted DHL but have not recieved a reply yet. Has anybody else had this problem? WHAT IS GOING ON???

It'll show up in a few hours after DHL scans it into the system for the first time. -
Have them contact DHL (while you are on the phone) and gather the tracking information - and perform a 3 way call conversation. This is what they did for me. This way, you will get the correct tracking number from both parties, and you will also get an updated status as to exactly where you notebook is at the current time.
Do not let them tell you this cannot be done..It can Just be nice, yet firm with them
Good luck -
When I ordered my replacement, I didnt get a tracking number at all and it kept saying Tracking Data unavailable, but i still received the package by the estimated ship date.
Also one thing i noticed about DHL is they tend to slack off on the tracking system. So you may not see something for a few days, then all of a sudden its jumped between 3 states in one minutes time. Tracking is slow thats all. -
Yeah dude. DHL SUCKS on tracking. I ordered, Dell told me it shipped, and for two days DHL said nothing about the tracking info. Then a knock on the door and there is my laptop lol.

If your order shipped with DHL Ground, it will take a while for their system to update with the tracking information. NBD shipments should however update by 12am on the day following shipment (i.e. by midnight of ship date).

My DHL Ground shipping speed was equivalent to 2 day shipping.

Since most Dell Laptops ship from Laverne TN, you can just enter in that zip code and roughly determine how many days the shipment will be in transit. You should be aware however that DHL ground shipments are not guaranteed to be delivered by the transit time given on these maps. These are apparently, "approximations", and in the case of some service centers, the package will just sit at the DHL location until the 5th business day (on which it will be delievered). As they say, YMMV.
