I don't know why Dell picked DHL to be their primary shipper but they suck and their stupid reps don't know jack about delivery dates. I called DHL Friday to ask them if they ship Saturday and the dumb rep said yes they do and I'll recieve my package on Saturday by 3:00PM. Lo behold I still don't have my notebook and they won't deliver it until after Labor day (Tuesday).
I say we sign a petition to Dell to stop sucking with almost everything they do; from using retarded grainy LCD screens to misleading bad cheap foreign customer support, there are so many crappy things directly and indirectly involved with Dell. I'm pissed.

I hear ya, I'm in the same boat as you are the one with the flag flyin that says pissed off . I just got out of my 5th chat with dell and guess what, thats right I got the same information the 5th time around and its all the information I already know. Because its the same information that they sent to my e-mail when I ordered from hell. I have a bad feeling that they are not going to meet my ESD because I am still in the build stage, and if it gets pushed back I will be forced to cancel my order and take my business elsewhere.

First off DHL is not Dell's primary delivery company and they do not pay extra for Saturday delivery

DHL is currently Dell's primary shipper of consumer grade products.

UPS still does most of Dell's corporate goodies. (Hint: I ****ing hate tail loading huge Dell servers, printers, etc into aircraft)

This contract fluctuates wildly. Most of the time they come back to UPS because the smaller companies just can't meet demand.

I hear you man! I won't see mine until after Labor Day as well. Not to mention I have to drive an hour and 40 minutes after class/work just to pick it up from my house.

DHL may well deliver on Saturdays, but isn't Dell's shipping based on "business" days? "Next business day," "3-5 business days," etc?

People shouldn't be surprised. I'm just reminding them of how well Dell and DHL team up together to piss off their consumers. Just like how they both constantly remind us how much longer our notebooks are being delayed.
