    DEll studio 1558 wireless disconnect frequently

    Hi 2 all

    i have had my laptop 2 years ago and recently i open my laptop to replace the cd rom , after that i change my OS ,
    now Wireless disconnect frequently or sometimes its work and sometimes dosent work

    i check the every thing relate to this problem , check the Dell website for latest version of wireless driver , and check with dell diagnostic online , upgrade to latest Bios version , and also change OS (Win 7 64 bit ultimate ) again , but problem still remained and i dont know whats wrong ? why it is working sometimes for several hours and sometimes disconnect frequently

    i also check with two more AP , but problem still same for all access points

    Maybe you touched the antennae on the wifi card while working on it? Could be they're not making proper contact or something. I have no better ideas, sry.

    i dont think this problem is relate to the antenna , because sometimes it works for several hours without problem and sometimes disconnect frequently ,
    i check the antenna cables, this is an strange problem that made me crazy ..... :confused:

    Have you tested it in a non-Windows environment, like a Linux boot disc?

    no i didint try with Linux boot disk , CD Rom of my laptop dosent work and i will test with an external cd rom ... and linux boot disk

    update your drivers for your card and set it to max performance under both battery and A/C. I have a studio 1558 and I have never had a problem once I did that (laptop is feb 2010 model i5 with ATi card)
