I read in the forum as well as others that during checkout DELL will give an additional 2 percent discount upon applying and approved for a Dell Preferred account. I have a couple of questions because I wasn't getting that discount or simply don't know how to get it during checkout.
1) How to get the additonal 2%?
2) Does it have a coupon code?
3) Is this a Dell promotion thing that happens from time to time or every time one uses the Dell Preferred card to make a purchase.
Thank you for your help!

From my experience last time trying to apply for their credit card and getting accepted, I did notice the 2% discount for using their prefered card. I didn't carry out the check out process due to an expiration on the 750 coupon, but from what I notice, the 2% should be listed in term of dollar value right below your total once you select dell prefered card as your method of payment, at least this is what I saw last time when choosing this choice. I hope others could give you further info regarding this and good luck with your purchase.

NBD get a credit card from a bank, I have had mine for 39+ years and if you keep you balances paid per mont their si no interest. I pay my company the same day I get my statement in full, after they get the payment you can argue with them to stop or negate a transaction. The main thing is keep your credit rating high like mine is and you won't ever have to pay any interest or a $25 late charge and have your interest go up. If you get a speeding ticket your insurance company is informed and they levy some more money to keep the insurance you have besides the cost of the ticket and points agaist your drivers licence.
My late father taught me this system and 39+ years have gone buy I have yet to pay 1 cent in interest, nor a Check for $25-29 for being late. When I had my career ending accident in 1985 I informed my company, they said you have earned our trust keep the card and keep your credit rating up I am sure we'll have no problem, *that* was said near June 9th 1985 almost 20 years ago and I have yet to pay any interest/late charge.
The secret of getting care and taking care of a good rating that no one would ever turn you down, the system knows that I have done it this way for all they have to do is look at the credit rating, if the words *As Agreed* show up 'everywhere' your A-OK.
