I have a dell inspiron 1501. of course, the battery went in 9 short months and the motherboard had to be resoldered. I bought a new battery from dell but of course the cpu would not recognize it. so now I have to use the laptop plugged in but with the battery in it. I had to purchase a new ac adaptor because the tech I used destroyed it and it didn't need to be fixed.

the tech and dell both bought the bios on the desktop but the cpu is telling me I am not the admin. I tried the goodbytes recommended, unplugging, pressing buttons, closing replugging. it didn't work, nothing has.

can someone please help me? the dell website is useless, it will not let me log in.

Sounds like the tech(s) didn't fix your first motherboard issue properly? Why did the motherboard have to be "re-soldered" the first time your battery "went"? What exactly do you mean when you say "the tech and Dell both bought the BIOS on the desktop"?
