I was wondering if I was to send my notebook back to Dell would they perform an upgrade for me. I was looking to change my gfx's card from x1400 to a 7900 or 7800. Or would it just be better for me to do it myself, I figure it would be cheaper, but lately I haven't had the time to do to much.

AFAIK, dell will not do the upgrade for you. Even if you buy the part, you will have to perform the upgrade yourself or have someone else do it. support.dell.com has diagrams and instructions on how to upgrade most of the laptops parts.

What's the best gfx card I can get fot my e1505 with a CD 2.0 CPU and 1GB dual 533MHz ram?

You can only upgrade to the video cards that are offered specifically for your model, so the best choice for the E1505 is the X1400.

I currently have that one so I guess I'm SOL on the gfx card.
Perhaps in a year or two after Sana Rosa comes out and possibly new gfxcards, I get a new laptop. Until then I guess I'll make do with what I have.

make sure the cost is worth it to you since the gpus are still pricey (at least in my book)
besides a new gpu isn't going to help Hayden win the championship cuz Rossi is out for blood. -
Thanxs Southerngirl ,and drumfu for the advice & info, I figured as much but wanted some expert opinons. No drumfu a new gpu isn't going to help my man, but the HONDA RESPOL will this Sunday.LOL
