    Not according to DELL.

I rang DELL since i only placed my new order on the 6th, and at a price of £1889, the new price of £1729.01 just 3 days after was quite large.

Even though i placed my order 3 days ago, even though my order is not even in production yet, even though they took the money instantly, and i still have no laptop, they wouldnt be giving me the "new" price. So i had to cancel, again.

Kinda getting bored of waiting now :/ im now back to square one.

The only demand that I have of that particular system is that it be fired out of a cannon... at a wall. ;)

But to each their own. May I ask what has drawn you to a system so hot and heavy that it defies the premise of the notebook platform? The appeal of such units in general mystifies me.

If cost is an issue those specs would be more affordable in the conventional desktop form factor; and it's not like an M1730 is really that portable. Unless by 'portable' you mean, 'into the car and back'. :)

I want a desktop replacement, something that does away with all the usual wires and fuss that my last desktop system had. It also needs to be easily moved. It was heavy but it was still easy to carry around (though i wouldnt go hiking with it or anything XD).

So yeah ummm, well im considering Alienware now. I need something fast and DELLs prices are like a YoYo and customer services are unhelpful and just offer "re-order" each time there is a problem.
