    DELL Studio 1537 w/ Windows 7 UpGrade

The upgrade went with trouble free,I have one issue that I can not figure out, prior to install of upgrade when the computer was running Vista there was a feature to right click the battery icon on lower right task bar and choose a disable battery charging box on the prompt, which would unable battery to charge until next start-up

As of upgrade I am unable to have the feature, does anyone know why, or how I can get it back, as I think that was an excellent battery preserve

Am I missing something in battery power options, but I doubt it, I have went over all the new features more then once of Windows 7

Thank You in advance for any help on this question.

I'm thinking of doing the same upgrade on my 1537. Did win 7 install all the drivers for you, if not what did you have to get from Dell?

I did a clean install as opposed to the upgrade, but that shouldn't make a difference in this instance. I found the option by right clickng on the icon, selecting Dell Battery Meter, then Battery Life. I also have Dell Quickset installed - not sure if that makes a difference or not.

I used the quickset application off of the Dell Drivers and Downloads for the Studio 1555. It worked fine on my 1537.

Yes, the "disable battery charging" is part of Dell Quickset. I got my Windows 7 Quickset from the Studio 1737 page but the one from the Studio 1555 would work too.
