Hey guys.. So I own a Dell Studio 1555 since this time last year and things have been going great with it, until today.. So I played a few games this morning like I usually do, turned it off and took it to school. Now I must admit i pack my charger rather poorly and pretty much just stuff it in my bag.

When I came back home, I realized my games aren't working properly, as if I was playing on my battery or on "Power Saver" mode, which was not the case. I tried different games, and its true for all of them.

Now, I have reasons to believe my charger is messed up. The light on it went off permanently a couple of months ago though it kept on working like usual, so I wasn't bothered about it. Now how do I find out if something's wrong with the voltage the charger's providing at the moment?

I ran HWMonitor and it gave me this: 12.54 to 12.57 V. Is this normal? If yes, what could be the problem?!?! :(

    Thanks.

    Mystery solved:
On further investigation, my power settings for the graphics card was set to "Maximize Battery Life" even under "Plugged in". I never changed it! HOW DID H*** DID THAT HAPPEN!?
