DELL Latitude D630 sound is bad.
Because the sound chip is bad?
Or because the built-in speakers is bad?
    Thanks!

What?!? Are you saying that the d630 has the same problem that the d610 had, in which you can hear the system noise when headphones are plugged into it?
    Whoah..

    I don't know..
I'm assuming that 'area3d' has first hand experience with the issue. I want to know what the issue is.
All I know is the sound is bad, and possibly that the chip is bad, and/or the speakers are bad.

The D630 does have a mono speaker...but I've used mine with headphones, and that way the sound is perfectly acceptable.
