You know that I think about it I always have a power source around me when I use my laptop. I just can’t currently use all of them be it a Car lighter or something.
So what would I need to have to be able to power my laptop from a Car Lighter?

One thing that’s making me kind of nervous is this.

Packed with 120 watts of power, the Kensington Notebook AC/DC Power Adapter uses patented technology to deliver all the power you need in a size that is 40% smaller and lighter than other power supplies. With its AC and DC power options, you always have the right adapter--whether in the office, on the road, or in the air. The Kensington Notebook AC/DC 120W Power Adapter is the ideal replacement for your existing power supply. It is designed to provide reliable power for today's larger, high-performance notebooks as well as other small mobile electronics such as iPods, cell phones, DVD players, and PDAs.

Does this mean that it will replace the battery in my Laptop or it’s just going to replace my charger?

Of coarse it means it replaces the cord. Thats why they sell those because just if case if you lost your original cord or want a all in one cord, you can get that.
What powers the notebook? The cord! That what it is saying.

There's the iGo as well, it costs around the same (if not less?) and works with many brands of laptops/cell phones, ect and you can buy new tips for it later.

IF you carefully shop around at the dell site, you will find that the 9cell for the 9300 is also the same size, voltage etc as the ones used for the latitude d810 and precision m70 yet these batteries are about half the cost, buy one of those instead and save a bundle!!!

I just use an inverter. Make sure you get one with enough watts though. Should be around $40 and one inverter will work for many devices. I got a 350 watt one in sams for around $35 I think, it was a couple of years ago. Make sure you buy one which is substantially larger than the load or it might overheat. I had this problem years ago, I had a 120 watt inverter and around 100 watt load. Worked for a while then overheated. Worked again once it cooled down.

YEs buy the 9 cell from DELL BUTTTT.......not the one for the inspiron 9300, check out the latitude d810's 9 cell batter, its 80 bucks less and guess what? its the same dam battery minus a battery meter indicator, same size, weight, voltage, milliamps etc.
