Website says that it's available for Inspiron 6000, 6000 dedicated graphics, 630m, 700m, 9300 and XPS M170 notebooks.

So i called DELL and asked if Inspiron 9300 qualifying for FREE upgrade to DVD Burner. They replied 'no'. So what is correct?

Well try configuring it online or call again. Dell will always have diferent responses and it also depends what that tech is nice or not. ;)

you can get the 9300, loaded with 1GB of ram, DVD burner, 3yr of McAfee, 2yr warranty, 80GB HD, free office basic for $1699. Sometimes Dell plays games with the Burner upgrades, trying to push items that are not selling as well or stuff they want to sell more of.
