    Hello,
My friend told me that he wants a small light weight laptop with 12.1 screen. I found the following options:
    1-thinkpad x61 T7300

    2-HP Compaq 2510p Ultra Low Voltage Processor U7600 ‎1.2GHz

    3-DELL D430 U7600 Intel® Core™ 2 Duo U7600 (1.2 GHz)

I was surprised that dell and HP laptop has a low processor speed 1.2 GHz compared to 2.0GHz of the thinkpad x61. I am having a dell d630 t7300 laptop.... How does d630 compare to d430?? What do you think I should Pick.... d430 and Hp compaq 2510p are cheaper.... How bad HP is compared to IBM and Dell?

    I got a refurbished D430. I love it.

I use it for surfing, word processor, watch movies. I dont feel it is slow. I defrag my hd often.

See my thread "d430 owners thread" if you want more info.
