DELL Baterries - Where to buy?

Hi,
I'd like to ask... does anyone know good stores that sell dell baterries for lower prices than on dell?

I am personally looking for a 1420 9-cell battery... it is about $150 n the Dell store... does anyone know where to buy it cheaper?

they offer them on eBay for $45, but they were used, but tested to have more than 70% of battery life after 30 minutes of use... what do you think about that? i would probably rather spend more but have a new one...

suggestions are welcome !

 

Definitely go for a brand new battery! Wait a while to purchase from Dell.. there was a factory fire, so demand for laptop batteries is very high, resulting in higher prices. Dell wants $300 for a 9 cell battery for the 1525! Insanity.

 

well it is $154 for a 9 cell 1420 one... can I find a better deal?

ok so on the dell store it is exactly $167 with shipping and tax in California...

is that the best buy or does it have sense to look somewhere else?

 

From my experience, eBay is the best place, but whether you are comfortable buying from eBay I don't know. I got a 9-cell for my m140 for $65.

 

well, but as I say, from what I've seen on eBay is that they either have used batteries that are not now, or more expensive new batteries...

or this is a response from en eBay seller, selling me a 9 cell battery for the 1420 for about $50...

I just got a battery for on Ebay for my old inspiron 6000 for $53 shipped. It's a genuine Dell battery and not part of the recall...

 

Don't buy generic batteries... It's not worth the risk!

Ebay is not all generic ones! Just look for a real oem one. Ive done it before...and sold them there before too.

 

Anyone that has a good tip on sellers with genuine Dell batteries on ebay? Or how to recognise the difference (before buying)? Specially i'm interested on UK-ebay, but US is okay as well.

 

I know that it is not only generic and used ones... unfortunately there is just one auction for a 9 cell 1420 battery...
