Please let me know that Dell Inspiron 1520’s which are sold in US are made in of which country? I am confused to buy the model which is made in MALAYSIA or those which are made in IRELAND! Which brand has better quality regarding performance?

The models sold in US, Asia and Australia are from the Malaysian factory. Units sold in the EU and the EMEA region are from Ireland.

Theoretically there is no difference in the quality, practically the units from Ireland seem to have less problems with screens and other issues.

Where do the laptops from the Xiamen factory in China go to other than the mainland?

they all use the same components so imo it doesnt matter.. it will be more based on the qc of that factory than anything else. imo malaysia makes good products..

Are you sure? Not that I have anything against Poland, but some products which are built there have more quality concerns as before the shift of the production there.

    East Asia; including Japan.

To the OP: It doesn't matter where it is made. There is no difference in quality so get rid of that perception.

Yes I'm sure, the factory is ready but they still don’t have enough trained staff to start production. About quality? They pay 6000$ a year so who will work for that money, for sure not engineers. I think 2008 will be last year for made in Ireland, those two factories are to close to each other.
