    hi ,
im planning to buy dell 1420.after suggestion of members i opted out for choosing 1440X900 glossy as my display.my question is Does 1280X800 GLOSSY have problems like hires screens provided by AUO.my main purpose is e-book reading ,have no experience dealing with laptop much time.will graininess cause high amount of eye strain.

please send me the manufacturer's of 1280X800 glossy screen and which have less complaint

Mine has the LG/Phillips screen and its somewhat grainy but I can deal with it so its not a big deal.

    Depends......
LG WXGA I had was a tad grainy yet the AUO WXGA I got was PERFECT with no grain WHAT so ever.

Then I upgraded to WXGA+ and am now stuck with a grainy SEC lol. But i no longer mind it much.
