I ordered a D830 this afternoon. What is Dell's average build time right now?

I ordered my 830 on 6/18, and it shipped today. So, at least for my configuration (wsxga, integrated graphics, etc), 3-4 days.

Don't be too hasty my friend, you'll get what you paid for. To answer your question. It depends on how much you paid for shipping. The build time is usually 5 business days, and the ship date was your option. I usually have it shipped in 2 business days.

I took the free shipping option and total time from order date was five days until I got my D830. Very fast compared to months a Lenovo buyer has to wait.

Expect fast shipping times if you ordered one with integrated graphics.

Expect slow shipping times (on the order of 2-3 weeks) if you ordered dedicated graphics.

:) I have no idea where that came from. Anyway, yours should come soon. Some people posted that their D830s w/ integrated graphics shipped in like 2 days.

supposedly, they're gonna start actually building the systems on june 25th (monday) (rumor). so depending on where we are in the queue (if you will) it should enter production on monday, leave somewhere around wed or thurs, and then arrive shortly after...

me = anxious? never. of course not.

Are you saying that dell will begin building the d630s and d830s with the 135m or 140m on June 25th?? Where did you hear this?

various sites (including this one) have some forum posts regarding the first day of the discrete graphics production.

    https://listserv.byu.edu/cgi-bin/wa..._=_NextPart_002_01C78CE4.9D0CC269&T=text/html

this is the main one, a dell insider presents a table of the production launch date and rts(real time shipping) date.

    Code:
[B]Latitude Dx30 Launch Launch Date RTS Date [/B]
    D630 w/Intel integrated graphics May 9th May 21st
    D830 w/Intel integrated graphics May 9th May 21st
    D531 May 9th May 21st
    D430 June 25th June 29th
    D630 w/Nvidia dedicated graphics June 25th June 29th
    D830 w/Nvidia dedicated graphics June 25th June 29th
    thats what i'm going by.

Why would you take up so much space just to say thank you??? Why not just type in "thank you" instead of re-copying the posts and say thank you?
