So on Monday, June 18th, I ordered a brand new Latitude D830 with the following config:

    • Intel Core 2 Duo T7300, 2.00GHz, 800Mhz 4M L2 Cache, Dual Core
    • 15.4 inch Wide Screen WSXGA+ LCD
    • 2.0GB, DDR2-667 SDRAM, 2 DIMM
    • 256MB NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M
    • 80GB Hard Drive 7200RPM
    • Touchpad with UPEK fingerprint reader
    • Vista Ultimate
    • Dell Wireless 360 Bluetooth Module (Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR)
    • 8X DVD+/-RW
    • Intel 4965 WLAN (802.11a/g/n)
    • 9-Cell/85 WHr Primary Battery
    • 3 yr Hardware Warranty, Next Business Day On-Site Service and CompleteCare Accidental Damage Protection
    • D/Port, Port Replicator (Docking Station)

When I was configuring it, I noticed that selecting the 256MB NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M delayed the shipment from 6/28/07 to 7/13/07.

I guess I can safely assume that no one has a D830 yet with discrete graphics. I understand the delay, but from another forum post, I heard that the D830's with discrete graphics are supposed to be starting production on the 25th, so will it really take that long to ship?

Maybe. The latitudes with discrete graphics are getting delayed; my D630 has a ship date of 7/9 and I ordered a couple days before you.

Rumor has it, Dell generally ships a bit sooner then the date they post. So you might get it a week before their date. I dunno. Thus far, no posts in this forum give me reason to suspect it will come any later then their estimate.
