    D830 Ship Date?

    Anybody order one and what was your ship date? I hear there is a pretty big lead time...

    Are the 820's still available??

    The 820 is still available. Ship dates on the 830 have been mid June

    Is there a discount on the 820's ?

    Is there any design difference, i.e. weight, size, etc...

    Weight and size wise, the D830 and D820 are identical. The main difference is that the D830 uses slightly newer graphics and a Santa Rosa processor.

    My guess is that the will not discontinue the D820 until Dell has the capability to ramp up and produce enough D830's to satisfy demand.

    I have been surfing Dell.com for D820, it is not listed anywhere. Do i have to call it in to order one?

    You have to click customize then it should be on the far left side of the page.

    What do you mean Tailic? i clicked on the notebook>>small business>>then D830. there are no selection out there for customize D20, please advise.

    After clicking customize, there should be 4 configurations. The first 3 are 830s and the last one is a 820.
