Hey guys. My integrated graphics are giving me a little problem. On some screens, such as RegScrubXP, things dont display right. Sometimes text wont fit on buttons or rows wont line up.

Any idea why this is happening? It has always happened (didnt just start), but it is now getting pretty annoying.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Are you using default font sizes or have you increased font size anywhere?
Is your DPI at the default size?

I hadn't adjusted the DPI, but I checked it and it was at 120. Is this the default size? I have also never changed the default font sizes.

Edit: I changed the DPI to 96 and the problem still exists

Most likely a GUI bug in that program not conforming to XP themeing standards or a problem with the theme it self. Switch back to the default Luna theme and see if the problem still persists.

I really don't think it's the integrated graphics.

    See if this helps:
    For XP:
Control Panel > Display > Appearance
    Set Font Size to Normal

(I don't have Vista yet so I'm not sure if they renamed something, but you can probably still find this setting.)

Keep the DPI at 96 too while trying this.

btw I have an older, much less powerful Intel integrated graphics chip in my laptop and the RegScrubXP UI displays properly.

EDIT: Well, I just tried changing my font size to both the other settings and it didn't break the RegScrubXP interface display. So this may not be the problem.

Phoenix: It's not a Theme issue, as I had the same theme on my old MSI notebook and RegScrubXP displayed correctly.

swarmer: My Font Size is already set to normal.

Note: This issue is not ONLY with RegScrub. There are also webpages that get cut off by a line or two at the bottom when they launch in a smaller "pop-up" window.

    Note2: I guess I didn't specify, but I do have XP Pro

There is something off in that theme, especially the title text size and button sizes. Just to make sure, change the theme or try Windows classic theme. If all your font and DPI settings are normal, then it has to be related to the theme, because that’s the only thing left which can affect the GUI layout.

Changing the theme did not fix it:

The bottom part shows how the standard Luna them should look like, see the difference ? look at the buttons and the left most icon placement. I tried to match the title bar height best I could, but I think in your screen shot the top part has been cut off.

Your windows are drawn differently, if you are sure that you didn’t make any changes to the way Windows look, then are you using any 3rd party theming utilities like Window blinds?

The only thing that I changed with how Windows looks was the theme, but as we have now determined, that wasnt the issue. No, I am not using any 3rd party theming utilities that I know of. What else could it be? Seems to be a strange issue.

Update: I was able to correct it! Basically I set my DPI to 96, restarted, set my theme to Windows Classic, restarted, set my theme to Windows XP, restarted, set my theme back to Roir, restarted. Everything appears fine now. I don't know why it wouldn't work when I did everything individually, but its good now!

    Thanks for all the help!
